Hyun Bin has volunteered to join the Marines.

The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) said Hyun was interviewed for the Marine Corps in December and the result will be announced on February 20th.

“The competition rate for entering the Marine Corps is around 4:1. We consider physical strength, academic background, voluntary service and more to se-lect the successful candidates. There are no additional points for celebrities and Hyun will be ②_________________ ____ _______ ____________ ______________ as other applicants,” an MMA official said.

Hyun’s agency, AM Entertainment, said that the actor did not want ③______ _________ _________ _________ ____________________ ___________ and chose to apply for the Marine Corps by himself.

“Hyun Bin has stated that he wants to serve his country the best he can. He doesn’t want to receive any special treatment because of his celebrity status,” an official of the agency said.

현빈 해병대 지원

현빈이 해병대에 지원했다.

현빈은 남한과 북한과의 긴장이 고조된 시기에 이러한 결정을 내렸다. 많은 이들이 현빈을 따라 해병대에 지원하였고 인터넷에는 그를 칭찬하는 글이 끊이지 않았다.

병무청에 따르면 현빈은 작년12월 해병대 입대 면접에 응시하였으며 2월20일에 결과가 발표된다고 하였다.

“해병대 지원 경쟁률은 4대1 정도이다. 체력, 학력, 봉사활동 그리고 그 밖의 여러 가지 기준으로 합격자를 뽑게 된다. 연예인에 대한 가산점은 없으며 현빈은 다른 지원자들과 동일한 기준으로 평가받을 것이다.” 라고 병무청 관계자가 말했다.

현빈의 소속사 AM 엔터테인먼트에 따르면 현빈은 연예 사병으로 복무하는 것을 원하지 않았으며, 스스로 해병대에 지원하는 쪽을 택했다고 한다.

“현빈은 최선을 다해 국방의 의무를 다하겠다고 밝혔다. 그는 연예인이라고 특별대우를 받는 것은 원치 않는다.” 라고 소속사 관계자가 말했다.

현빈은 군입대 전까지, 탕 웨이와 출연한 영화 ‘만추’와 임수정과 함께 찍은 영화 ‘사랑한다, 사랑하지 않는다’의 두 영화 홍보에 나설 예정이다.

현빈은 2005년 인기 드라마 ‘내 이름은 김삼순’에 출연하며 스타의 반열에 올랐다. 그리고 ‘시크릿 가든’에서 큰 인기를 끌며 지난 해 2010 SBS 최우수연기상을 받았다.
