American actor Laurence Fishburne was born on July 30, 1961, in Augusta, Georgia. Fishburne has said in interviews that he has always been an actor, ever since playing Peter Pan in a school play in the second grade. He began acting professionally in plays at age 10 and ①____ ____ ____ ________ _____ ____ ____ ___.

Fishburne’s breakout role came when he was cast in Francis Ford Coppola’s Vietnam War film “Apocalypse Now”. He had just turned 15. Fishburne, the youngest person in the film, lied about his age to get the job. He spent several months working with ②______ _____ ________ _____ such as Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen and Robert Duvall.

Fishburne spent the ‘80s acting in several different television shows and movies. He appeared in gritty action films (“Death Wish 2”), horror films (“Nightmare on Elm Street”), serious dramas (“The Color Purple”), and a children’s television show (“Pee-wee’s Playhouse”).

In the ‘90s, Fishburne’s performance in the acclaimed drama “Boyz n the Hood” ③______ _____ _____ ____ _______ and led to many successful plays and films. He won an Emmy Award for acting on a television show called “TriBeCa” and a Tony Award for starring in the play, “Two Trains Running”. Fishburne was also nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Ike Turner in “What’s Love Got to Do With It”. He is probably most famous, however, for playing Morpheus in “The Matrix” films.

미국의 배우 로렌스 피시번은 1961년7월30일 조지아 주 오거스타에서 태어났다. 피시번은 여러 인터뷰에서, 자신이 초등학교2학년 시절 피터팬을 연기한 이후부터 줄곧 배우 생활을 했다고 말했다. 그는 열 살 때부터 직업 배우로서 연극에 출연하였고 11살에 첫 TV 배역을 따냈다.

피시번은 프란시스 포드 코폴라 감독의 베트남 전쟁 영화 ‘지옥의 묵시록’에서 성공의 계기가 된 배역을 맡았다. 그 당시 그는 막 15세에 접어들고 있었다. 피시번은 이 영화의 출연진 중 가장 나이가 어렸고 이 배역을 얻기 위해 나이를 속였다. 그는 수 개월 동안 말론 블란도, 마틴, 쉰, 로버트 듀발과 같은 저명한 배우들과 함께 연기를 했다.

피시번은 여배우 지나 토레스와 결혼해서, 세 명의 자녀를 두고 있다.
