One of the great illusions of our time is that love is self-sustaining. It is not. Love must be fed and nurtured, constantly renewed. That demands ingenuity and consideration, but first and foremost, it demands time. 이 시대에 사람들의 가장 큰 환상은 사랑은 일단 시작되기만 하면 가만 둬도 지속되는 것이라는 생각이다. 사실은 그렇지 않다. 사랑은 잘 자라도록 물과 거름을 주며 키워나가야 하며 끊임없이 새롭게 변화시켜 나가야 한다. 이를 위해서는 창의와 숙고가 필요하다. 그러나 이를 위해서는 무엇보다도 시간이 걸린다는 점을 잊지 말아야 한다.  ♣  self-sustaining 자립하는, 자급자족의 Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning. 사랑이란 누군가가 다가와서 의미를 부여할 때까지는 하나의 단어에 불과하다.  Chan's Advice! '사랑이란 돌처럼 변함없이 제자리에 그대로 있는 것이 아니다. 사랑은 빵처럼 만들어지는 것. 항상 다시 만들고 새롭게 만들어가야 하는 것.'
