At times (usually few), the relationship can remain challenging, even toxic, despite your 100 percent commitment and self-discipline. When this occurs, you need to avoid being the "Knower" and shift to being the "Learner." Avoid Knower statements/thoughts like "that won't work," "I'm right, you are wrong," "I know it and you don't,"
"I'll teach you," "that's just the way it is," "I need to tell you what I know," etc. Instead use Learner statements/thoughts like "Let me find out what is going on and try to understand the situation," "I could be wrong," "I wonder if there is anything of value here," "I wonder if..." etc. In other words, as a Learner, be curious!

At times (usually few), the relationship can remain challenging, even toxic, despite your 100 percent commitment and self-discipline. (간헐적이긴 하지만) 때때로, 인간관계는 100퍼센트 헌신하고, 자기 원칙을 갖고 있다 하더라도 어렵고, 심지어 치명적이기도 하다.
When this occurs, you need to avoid being the "Knower" and shift to being the "Learner."
이런 어려운 상황에 부닥치면 “알고 있다.”는 자세는 피하고 “배운다.”는 자세를 가질 필요가 있다.
Avoid Knower statements/ thoughts like "that won't work," "I'm right, you are wrong," "I know it and you don't," "I'll teach you," "that's just the way it is," "I need to tell you what I know," etc. “그렇게 하면 안 될 거야.”, “나는 옳고, 당신은 틀렸어.”, “나는 아는데, 당신은 모르잖아.”, “내가 가르쳐줄게.”, “세상일이 그런 거야.”, “내가 아는 걸 알려줄 필요가 있어.” 등과 같이 알고 있다는 표현과 생각을 피해야 한다.
Instead use Learner statements/thoughts like "Let me find out what is going on and try to understand the situation," "I could be wrong," "I wonder if there is anything of value here," "I wonder if..." etc.
그 대신 “어떤 일이 일어나고 있는지 알아보고 상황을 파악해볼 게.”, “내가 틀렸는지도 몰라.”, “이 대목은 어떤 가치가 있을지도 몰라.”, “...한 게 궁금해.” 등의 배우겠다는 표현과 생각을 해야 한다.
In other words, as a Learner, be curious!
달리 표현하면, 궁금해하며 배우겠다는 자세를 가져야 한다.
