On days when workers have the sense they’re making headway in their jobs, or when they receive support that helps them overcome obstacles, their emotions are most positive and their drive to succeed is at its peak. 직원들은 자신의 일이 진척되고 있다고 느끼거나, 장애물 극복에 필요한 지원을 받고 있을 때 가장 기분이 좋아지고 성공을 향한 열정이 최고조에 이른다.    On days when they feel they are spinning their wheels or encountering roadblocks to meaningful accomplishment, their moods and motivation are lowest. 직원들이 헛수고하고 있다고 느끼거나, 의미 있는 성취를 이루는 데 장애물을 만났을 때 기분은 처지고 의욕은 저점으로 떨어진다.  * make headway : 전진하다. 진척되다.  * spin one's wheel : 시간을 낭비하다. 헛수고하다.     경영자나 관리자가 반드시 명심해야 하는 말입니다. 아주 상식에 속하는 내용이지만, 실제로는 수많은 관리자가 직원을 헛수고시킬 때가 많습니다. 또한, 필요할 때 필요한 지원을 제대로 해주지 못합니다. 성취감을 느끼지 못하는 직원들은 지치기 시작합니다. 그들은 오래 버티지 못하며, 늘 조직을 떠날 생각을 하며 살게 됩니다.                                        - 영어등대 이찬승 드림 -
