▣ My parents shared not only an improbable love,
   they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation.
   They would give me an African name, Barack, or blessed,
   believing that in a tolerant America your name is no barrier to success.

▣ Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. 
   It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential. 

▣ Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time.
   We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.  

                                                                              
Chan's Advice!
첫번째 말 - 선거기간 동안 오바마의 이름을 두고 말들이 있었던 것 같습니다.

Barack Hussein Obama의 Hussein은 무슬림 이름이기 때문이죠.

그는 Barack를 'blessed' 란 뜻이라고 설명했지만 실은 hussein이
그런 뜻입니다. 고차원적인(?) 해명이라고 봐야 할 것 같습니다.
The meaning of Hussein is “blessed” in arabic, but what of the names Baraka (Barack) and Obama?
The O in Obama means male or man, and ba means soul, and ma probably derives from ma/mother,
the goddess of the sea (from which the term marine, and the african nation’s name Mauretania derive),
so Obama seems to mean man’s soul from the sea (from where life was said to have come by some of  the ancients).

두번째 말 - 너무 눈앞의 현실적인 것에 연연하지 말고 자유, 평등, 그리고
미국이 추구해야 할 더 귀중한 가치를 실현하기 위한 삶을 촉구하는 것으로 해석됩니다.
