Firefighters rescue teen stuck in giant purple dinosaur head
A 15-year-old girl from Alabama became a star on social media this week after a ‘prank/frank’ she tried to pull on some friends went awry.
Darby Risner had some friends staying over for a somber/sleepover on Sunday evening when she decided to give them a fright by putting a huge plush Barney the Dinosaur mask on her head – which she then got stuck in.
“I want[ed] to scare my friends, so I put it on and waited for them to come downstairs,” Darby told reporters. “It didn’t scare them.”
Her ‘prank’ having proved something of a damp squib, she then tried to remove the oversized dinosaur mask – and realised she was stuck tight.
“The head’s big and slipped down over my shoulders and my arms were pinned,” she said. “That made me nervous.”
She began to panic, and had to be calmed down by her friends. “The worst moment was when I had to throw up/throw away,” she added. "All my friends were like, 'No! No! No!' It would have had to sit in there with me, so I fought it back."
